Bookathon 2022!

Book 1: That’s the Way We Met by Sudeep Nagarkar

This is the first book I read in 2022! A book of romantic genre, I finished it in one go! The book had a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes, which was a big turn-off from a national bestseller! The only thing I liked was the detailed description of the places. When the protagonist was walking through the lanes of August Kranti Marg, I imagined myself walking through those lanes as I’ve spent good three years of my college life in that locality. The protagonist gets down at AIIMS Metro Station, which was a few kilometres away from my hostel! The narration took me down memory lanes! The description of Manali, Rohtang Pass reminisced of my golden days and solo trip to those places! It was the best time of my life and I thank the author to help me re-live those days all over again! You can read the book if you have been there and revive those days but if you haven’t, get ready to have a virtual tour! The story ends on a sad note, which is quite disheartening!

Book 2: She Swiped Right into My Heart by Sudeep Nagarkar

After reading one book by this author, I planned to read all his books back-to-back; so, here it goes! This was the second book on this list. A good book describing college life, friendship, and love; read this to re-live those golden days all over again! I started this book on the way to my office around 9 and finished it the next day around 9.30 pm with 18 hours of office work in between, 5-6 hours of sleep, along with cooking and other household chores. I was reading to know what happens next but somewhere, I didn’t want the book to end! Though the book ends on a happy note, I felt a part of the group and missed the characters around on completing the book.

Book 3: It Started with a Friend Request by Sudeep Nagarkar

Another book of the romantic genre with a lot of twists but the story ends on a happy note! An obsessive incomplete love angle, misunderstandings, friendship, a much-relatable love story! Despite all the misunderstanding and love twists, there is one thing that’s constant in the book, the power of love & trust, and that is what makes the story beautiful! The author goes into a lot of detailing and by reading it, you can imagine all the characters around you! Blackberry chat and Orkut generation would be able to relate to it more!

Happy Reading!
